Summary:
"As academic, historian and community activist, Joe Landsberger has been a life-long resident of the City of Saint Paul dating from 1945. His life progressed from its West Side (30 years) to West Africa (3 years) to the neighborhoods of West Seventh Street (47 years). Beginning the in the late 1960s he developed a university's central computer lab/learning center for 25 years and became its webmaster. A corresponding effort included researching and authoring 250 study guides for students, middle school through returning adult, that were freely accessible in 39 languages. Their final year, 2012, averaged one million visitors per month when acquired by a commercial entity. In addition to these accomplishments, he founded a Midwest technology conference for educators in higher education (1995-2006) and contributed a column (Learning by Design) for the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT)'s professional journal. His parallel efforts in West Seventh included president of the West Seventh Business Association, Czech and Slovak Sokol Minnesota, and various responsibilities for the community council, the West Seventh/Fort Road District Council. For the latter he developed the gateway North High Bridge Park and Sculpture Garden and was lead organizer for its series of neighborhood garden tours. For the latter he researched six neighborhood histories that have been coalesced into the current 'Origin Story' history." -- Google Books.
