The data presented here were obtained from the CD-ROM versions of the 1988 and 1994 County and City Data Books, published by the U.S. Bureau of the Census, and made available to over 1400 depository libraries across the country. Demographic, economic, and governmental data from both the Federal government and private agencies are presented for the purpose of multi-area comparisons or single area profiles. Current estimates and benchmark census results are included. State and county data include the following general subjects: area and population, households, vital statistics, health, Social Security, Supplemental Security income, crime, education, money income, housing, labor force, personal income, agriculture, manufactures building permits, wholesale and retail trade, service industries, banking, government employment and finances, and elections. In addition to most of the county data, city data include climate and residential electric bills.
