Summary:
For years, few people knew the name Theodore Kaczynski. However, the infamous "Unabomber" was widely known as one of the nation's most wanted criminals. From the late '70s to the early '90s, Kaczynski sent dozens of carefully crafted homemade letter bombs to various scientists, engineers, and high-tech professionals across the country, killing three and wounding more than twenty. In this program, FBI agents trace the often-frustrating course of their long and drawn-out investigation, while interviews with Kaczynski's college roommate and a childhood friend help to piece together the profile of a man whose once enviable genius became a dark and twisted monomania.
