Also follows a team of builders, who are creating scaled down replicas of the Great Sphinx to try to shed light on the techniques used by ancient stone carvers to create this huge limestone sculpture. Stresses the urgency of these investigations as the Sphinx is being swallowed up by an urban neighborhood and traffic, tourism, and construction are trembling it apart.
