Summary:
A thriller beginning in World War II when a Polish prostitute is brutally murdered. Her killer is identified only as a German general. A military investigator working on the case finds evidence leading to three possible suspects. The trail leads right into the 1944 plot to assassinate Hitler and continues for years before culminating in 1965.
