Summary:
Known as the "Big Muddy" the Missouri River travels 2,300 miles and is the second longest river in North America. From its humble beginnings, the headwaters of the Missouri River begin to shape and form as a stream high above the Rocky Mountains in western Montana. From there it twists and turns through several states before finally emptying into the Mississippi River.
