Summary:
Masters of adaptation, the vast variety of insects outnumber all other animal species put together. The program follows a female Japanese red bug as she collects a rare fruit for her offspring to eat. If she doesn't return quickly enough, her young will abandon their nest in search of a better provider. In an extreme display of sexual dimorphism, the female Darwin stag beetle has normal-sized jaws, while the male has mandibles longer than his entire body. The bombardier beetle's toxic defense keeps predators on their guard.
