Androids and robots, survivors of a long-dead race, follow the signal of a space probe to its origin--Earth. There, they enslave humankind and abduct tens of thousands of people to a planet light years away. The robots alter the captives' minds to make the humans believe they are still on Earth, part of a government experiment which involves suspended animation. Once the robots finally awaken the humans, the robots control them by keeping them confined in an underground structure.
