A naked man drops from the night sky and crashes through the roof of a mobile home, nearly killing the elderly couple inside. The victim is Pete Hostetler, a respective toy manufacturing executive, and detectives are at a loss: did he accidentally fall out of an airplane, or was he pushed? For Cordell Logan, this case is personal: he and Hostetler were classmates at the Air Force Academy and flew together as fighter pilots in Operation Desert Storm, and Hostetler saved Logan's life in Iraq. Logan is convinced he was murdered, but as he begins digging, he realizes that he may not have known Hostetler as well as he thought.
