As the story opens, we learn that two babies are about to be born. The first will be John, and it will be his destiny to pave the way for the Messiah. The second will be the Messiah Himself, and when the birth of Jesus finally takes place, angels descend from Heaven to announce the good news. Not everyone embraces the newborn king of course. Indeed, there are those who want to have Him killed, but the wheels of destiny have been set in motion, Jesus will grow into adulthood, and in time will come to be recognized as the Savior of mankind.
