Tribal Lighthorse policeman Bill Maytubby and county deputy Hannah Bond discover a body in a remote area of Oklahoma, and set out to investigate her murder and recreate her last days. Maytubby and Bond crisscross Oklahoma, meeting a myriad of characters and suspects. Maytubby travels to Louisiana, and uncovers a potential conspiracy.
