This novel is a collaboration of a Spanish (Rosa Montero) and a French (Olivier Truc) author who alternated writing chapters in which two protagonists, one French and one Spanish, deal with the cultural differences between their countries in the course of a police investigation. The book was published simultaneously in French and Spanish, with the parts written in French translated into Spanish for the Spanish edition and the parts written in Spanish translated into French for the French edition.
