Five college friends reunite in the Sierra Nevada mountains for a weekend wedding of two of their group. They are all on the cusp of 30-- in astrological terms their "Saturn return." The engaged couple have defied their friends' expectations, turning a long friendship into romance. Thirty-six hours before the wedding the long-lost sixth friend, the former soul mate of the bride and best friend of the groom, appears at the door. A world traveler now working in construction, he arrives uninvited with his recently paroled, ex-con buddy. As the group struggles to reacquaint themselves with their lost friend, everything begins to shift.
